Hamamatsu Science Museum

A "science basecamp" only Hamamatsu city could come up with

hmscm1.jpg
Mirai-ra, Hamamatsu City science museum, reopened in July 2019 after being closed for over a year. There is a "new technology corner" and it consists of five zones: "nature", "sound", "light", "power" and "space." The theme of the exhibition is "active learning" and the items in each zone are those that you can study not only by looking, but also by experiencing. Also, a science show is held that is both informative and fun!
The second floor is highly recommended. The companies that represent Hamamatsu, such as YAMAHA, SUZUKI, HONDA or ROLAND offer various exhibitions. You will be exposed to and experience an explanation about the technology each company employs, and the science that supports that technology. This gorgeous and fun exhibit is a must see; only made possible because of the location here in Hamamatsu!
This science museum where both adults and kids can find new discoveries and enjoyment is seven minutes walk from Hamamatsu Station. You won't regret stopping by!
