The morning market is held regularly every week in various locations throughout Hamamatsu. All kinds of products are on offer, not only from Hamamatsu but from neighbouring Nagano and Aichi prefectures as well. Vegetables picked the same morning (or the previous day), seasonal foodstuffs, handmade side-dishes and plenty more fill every stall, where goodies such as honey from Hamamatsu's own beehives plus nationally revered tea made from award-winning tea leaves may be purchased.
An additional part of the fun is interacting with the staff who greet you with a friendly smile. So get up early for the morning market and satisfy your heart as well as your stomach!
