Enjoy the unique experience of picking your own in the mandarin orange mecca of Japan
Film by iN HAMAMATSU.COM, Universe and You

The area around Okuhamanako, located west to Hamamatsu-shi, Japan is ideal for the cultivation of mandarins thanks to its mild climate and well drained soil, and it has been known for a long time as a place for harvest of tasty mandarins. The "Mikkabi mikan" (Mikkabi mandarins, Tangerin , Satsuma) from Mikkabicho are especially famous across Japan.
The mandarin orange picking that visitors can enjoy in Hamamatsu is usually an all-you-can-eat system and does not require making a reservation in advance. (Reservations must be made for groups of 20 or more people.) Since mandarin fields are usually built in terraces on a slope, visitors should pay special attention to the kind of footwear they choose for their visit.
